Who is GOP? GOP (Growth Operating Partners) is the growth consulting and strategy execution vertical of SBSSdigital. Several cohort mates from the IIM Calcutta Executive Programme have come together to build and scale GOP, an operator-led collective of senior professionals with 100+ years of combined hands-on experience.

GOP believes that the work of building business value begins before capital is raised and continues after investment is made.

Before investment, the focus may be on growth, profitability, management systems and investment readiness. When capital is needed, GOP helps the business prepare its pitch and take it to suitable mid-market PE and VC investors. After investment, the focus shifts to executing the investment thesis, improving performance and measuring progress against agreed priorities.

Where GOP comes from

GOP is the growth consulting and strategy execution vertical of SBSSdigital, an enterprise solutions venture. It was founded in 2021, when several cohort mates from the IIM Calcutta Executive Programme came together to build and scale it, drawing on senior careers across manufacturing, textiles and apparel, telecom, media, lighting, logistics, fintech, retail and finance. GOP is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by IIM Calcutta, and team members' former employers do not endorse GOP.

The idea is simple. Promoter-led businesses need senior, hands-on help, but few can afford six or more full-time senior specialists. GOP provides that depth fractionally and on demand, working inside the business against agreed outcomes.

Who we work with

Business promoters and their leadership teams, primarily of promoter-led businesses with approximately INR 150-500 crore in revenue; prospective investors; and PE/VC funds with portfolio companies to build. Manufacturing is where the team's experience runs deepest: fans and motors, electricals, heat exchangers, engineering components, home appliances, paper and packaging, FMCG and consumer durables. What GOP does not do

We are clear about our lane. GOP does not invest its own capital. It does not provide statutory audit, legal, tax or regulatory opinions, and it is not a merchant banker or a certifying authority. When GOP helps a business raise growth capital, the transaction documents, securities matters and any regulated activity are handled by the qualified advisers and registered intermediaries the company appoints. GOP works alongside them on the business and operating side.
